Is it possible to raise Dopamine levels in the brain naturally? Without detail, I have been taking a stop smoking medication that,for me, blocks the release of dopamine. Can I reverse this naturally in some way? Not smoking for 23 days now,,,but wish I could feel better emotionally. Thanks.

You should check out Chantix. Not only does it block the nicotine receptors, to prevent the effects, should you smoke. It also minimally increases dopamine levels.
Exercise will help. Eating foods rich in protein will increase dopamine levels. The body converts protein into the amino acid tyrosine, which is further converted into dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain.

Where do you get your information? You CAN alter your level of dopamine, through exercise, your diet, as well as Chantix. I don't think you understand the function of dopamine or how it is produced. Have you heard of ADHD or Parkinson's Disease? People with these diseases have low levels of dopamine and take medication to help increase it.
Nicotine and cocaine increase the levels of dopamine in your brain, which is the main reason behind why these substances are so addictive.

what can i take? I heard there's thing you can use to clean it out faster than,the 30 or 40 days it normally take when you naturally stop smoking marijuana (weed).
I've tried all the gadgets like patches, lozenges, etc. However, if I'm locked up in a 'clinic' for a month that might finally do it. Naturally activities would have to be provided since boredom breeds smoking.
I dont know of a clinic to quite smoking. However there are several websites that have gotten amazing results.

i've been smoking for roughtly 10 years and have got to the point where i really want to stop. o do keep tryin but somethin always seems to go wrong and i have a cig to relieve the tention.
has anyone any advice for me to stop. i need tips on how to take my mind off of it and also alternitive things to do with my hands because i actually believe thats what i miss.

You need to find a substuite for that cigarette.. especially the first one of the day.. try not to think about smoking and when you do think about it take your mind off of it by finding something to keep busy or doing whatever substuite you've choosen (try making a phone call when you feel the urge)...... if you can get past the first few days it gets easier.. Or you can try negative reinforcement.. Thats when you only have a cigarette when you're doing something you hate doing.. I had a professor who tried to quit smoking , so he only smoked when he graded papers.. which he hated doing.. unfortunatly it backfired and turned out to be a positive reinforcement, he started looking forward to grading papers..
