One of my friends is trying to quit smoking and his side effects have been awful he can't do anything without getting pissed off or depressed and sometimes he just breaks down. We both agree he needs a replacement! Fast! and cheap! I'm afraid he will do give in, I would have already. What is the cheapest and safest nicotine replacement. He's only 14 and not really in a position to talk to a doctor. Any advice??? Please!
Well, seeing as though you have to be 18 to even purchase nicotine patches in America...I doubt a doctor will prescribe any. However, he may prescribe some sort of anti-anxiety medication to make it easier for him to quit. I would suggest that he go see a doctor if he's having that much trouble quitting cold turkey. The doctor's not going to turn him into the police for underage smoking.
I know that NY offers this but is there anywhere in NJ to get free smoking cessation products without having to go to their counseling and what not?
well veg head thanks for your rude and complety unhelpful answer. Of course I can buy them but I was wondering if I could save money and get them for free.

Most smokers when they decided to kick that harmful habit, they have to go through what I called smoking cessation process. It is a hardship that they will face several times in their lives. During this painful journey, most of them have to study and use various tips and techniques with one goal that is to have a life from cigarettes and smoke.
