marijuana testing?
Free Home Drug Test

Hi. Have a concern that I will be tested for marijuana use. Not sure how long it stays in the system, or what tests, if any, will be used. I am 45, 225 lbs, 6', and have been a cronic user for 20+ yrs, daily. I dont use any other drugs, maybe a beer occaisonally. I quit 3 months ago but had a breakdown and smoked for 3 days about 2 weeks ago. Stupid, I know. But have been clean since and will stay clean, maybe for good. I excercise, but not vigorously or often. I need advice, good advise as I can read info on the net. How long is it in the system? Do the UK entry visa people do drug testing at the airport? Any advise would be appreciated.

Drink lots of water. Also drink cranberry juice! If you don't like the juice buy some AZO pills it's the same thing. The more you pee the more you get out of your system

The future of maijuana reform? Jobs without marijuana testing if its legalized to any extent?
4 Panel Drug Test Cassette Device

I mean, thats the only thing they test for that stays in your body more than a few days. Drug testing companies have used Marijuana as a focal point to sell their products and services since drug testing started. Is it possible that small amounts of mariuana will become legal, therefore flipping the balance of these companies onto the truly dangerous drugs? And leaving me, a proud, family feeding, tax paying, pot smoking, hardworking American alone?
Cork, Im sorry but I believe if it were legalized, there would be legal constraint on when and where you could use it. On the job or in a vehicle should definately be illegal. Just like alcohol. Common sense?

If it is legalized, then jobs would not be able to test for it as it would be against the person's constitutional rights. If someone was using it medicinal reasons (If the Government ever legalizes it) they would have to have proof from their doctor.

Do they perform drug tests testing for marijuana in states where it had been decriminalized?
Marijuana Drug Test

I live in Massachusetts where where the possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana is now just considered a civil violation. Does that mean that I won't have to worry about marijuana in my system when I go in for a drug test for employment, or will they still be testing for it?

No it merely means it is not a major crime to have it in your possession. Use will often be tested for because many employers do not want someone who is high while at work. You will still have plenty of reason to worry about having it in your system.

Roadside testing of Marijuana: If MJ stays in our system for 3 months, what are legal driving thresholds?
5 Panel Drug Test Dip

"Under 0.5" is what we are told about alcohol. What perameters are the police working with when testing for marijuana ? For that matter, what are the driving restrictions for marijuana in the ACT where marijuana is legal to consume?
I feel that we are given little info about this in the hope that the police will "catch us out". I personally know many people (doctors, solicitors, school teachers, policemen) who use MJ recreationally, but my concern is with paliative care patients and my chronically ill partner who use the drug as an irreplaceable aide for pain relief/appetite & sleep. I have addressed this issue with many and have found out that people WILL continue to use it in the hope that one day soon MJ will be made legal.
Legalise it. Tax it. Regulate the strength. Whatever it takes, just don't penalise us for using this age-old aide.
At least inform us of the testing procedure so we can avoid beurocratic penalties.

If police pull someone over and suspect the driver is impaired with drugs while driving, it doesn't matter whether the driver drove home from a wild night of smoking joints, or was taking a legal form of the drug such as Marinol. If the police can build a solid enough case with sobriety tests and the blood test results, a DUI could result either way!

Police usually order a blood test done when they suspect a DUI, whether there is alcohol or drugs involved. Marijuana can be detected in the blood for up to 24 hours from when it was smoked. Marijuana doesn't stay in the blood for weeks as it does in urine. Police can't bust you for a DUI with the results of a urinalysis or a hair test. Blood tests are what the police will most likely use in court. So if you want some "parameters" - after 24 hours you are pretty much safe from getting a DUI as the result of smoking marijuana or taking a legal derivative.

  • Medical Marijuana: The Coup de Culture Consequences of Federal ...

The failure of the federal government to properly regulate marijuana is leading to terrible headaches.  MMJ is a Schedule 1 drug under the Controlled Substances Act, meaning that the Congress has determined it has a high potential for abuse and has no legitimate medical use.  The former may be true, but certainly not the latter.  At the very least, the facts point in the direction of putting MMJ onto a different schedule , permitting medical use but still outlawing consumption for intoxication, just as we do morphine and cocaine. One real downside of this policy was to substantially stifle testing to see which diseases and conditions could benefit from cannabis, and which not. Also, delivery systems such as sprays that would obviate the need to dispense “weed” have not gotten off the financial ground.
