Fsh Test

I want to do my FSH / LH test before getting pregnant .But I want to know the correct day of cycle ,when to do my blood test. On what day.

according to my study i think once you miss you Af you can take a test after 5-7 days beq tillt hent he hcg level is high. hope for the best i will pray for you.

I was under the impressioon that the LH/FSH blood test should be done on day 3 of your cycle.

My GP said it can be done on day 1, 2 or 3.

Has anyone been told this info before?

I had mine done on day 1 but if I had the blood test on day 3 would there be much of a difference in the result?

Anyone experienced this?

If you were already pregnant how would it effect this test? Would it increase the FSH level in your urine, or would it decrease it? Explain to me why?

I have a high FSH and wondered the same thing. Your FSH levels are suppressed when pregnant. When you get pregnant, your estradiol levels increase causing a decrease in FSH. So the test will show low levels.

I want to get tested to see why my period is late. I'm not pregnant. But I have mild ovarian cyst syndrome. Should I go on hormonal therapy?

If you are doing these test to find ovulation then try basal body temperature (take temperature every day just after waking up in bed) this temp will rise above average the day you ovulate. That day do those tests.
For any other cause you can test any day of the month.

Fertell makes one, as well as many other companies, it is somewhat expensive. It is done on cycle day 3. It tests the FSH levels in your urine. If you are concerned about your fertility, I suggest you see your primary care or OB/GYN, have a serum one done. Blood testing is more reliable. Some insurances will cover the testing.
