Drug Test Hair

I take Lorazepam. Found out today my hair drug testing results came back positive stating my results found Methamphetamine 55.5 cg/10mg (which I'm clueless to this number) What the heck has caused this kind of false info and where is info backing up the impacts Lorazepam has had on my test. I was floored considering I don't use anything but my prescribed meds along with all my other herbal daily meds.
I gave a list of all meds, including over the counter meds etc....

lorazepam is a Benzodiazepine not a methamphetamine. As to why you tested positive for the latter i don't know. Maybe something in your herbal meds are causing this positive result. You need to talk to your doctor and give him a complete list of all meds, otc, prescription, and herbal. If he can't give you any answers talk to your pharmactist, they would probably know could be causing the problem.

So, I go for a simple pre-employment drug screen...I am SCALPED. Consider this a warning of what could happen to you!

I'm talking about a normal hair cut not shaving it off. I like to keep my hair fairly short. Anyway I havent done anything in 7 months, but am worried about a drug hair test. If I get my hair cut too short they will take hair from somewhere else. Do they take into accout that it takes longer for the other hair to grow if it is taken from a different place on the body?

If you consider the reason why it seems that arm or body hair grows more slowly than hair on your head, I think you'll decide that you're probably in the clear.

While it appears that your arm hair is just always short and grows slowly, it actually grows in spurts, and once it's essentially done growing, it falls out. Body hair grows in shorter intervals than head hair, so the hair is only able to get so long before it falls out.

Taking this into account, I think that most of your body hair from when you were using drugs has probably already fallen out already.

Also, how short are you planning on cutting your hair? They only need 1/4 inch, so you might be fine with your head hair anyway.

Okay, okay, yes I know that NOT doing drugs is the surest way. Quit being judgemental a**holes and stating the obvious. I'm looking for serious answers. Obviously I've already smoked pot, and the test is next week. There's no use in telling me "well, if you never smoked in the first place", unless, of course, you like sounding like a snooty do-gooder who has nothing to do but look down your nose at me.

If you shave your head, they will get hair from somewhere else. At least that's what my last company did. They will find a hair or two SOMEWHERE.

For hair test -up to 90 days.(every .5 inches = 30 days back, and Lab require a sample of hair that is about 1.5inches )
So..hair purifier.Check at at your local head/tobacco shop or online.
But it takes approx 5-10 days from the time of use for the affected hair to grow above the scalp.
So ...will depend on the length of your hair , on who is performing the test, the cost of the test, the expectations and federal requirements.
How do you know for sure a hair test is going to be required?(Hair tests are much more expensive).Don't risk If you are on the line, invest in some clean up products.

And don't shave. This does not usually work (they can pull from under the arm,leg also and pubic ,hair shaving the head only means some one is guilty of doing drugs).

Ok I have not smoked weed in about a month and 1/2. I am going to be starting a new job soon and my problym is that they will be doing a hair drug test after my probation period. That is either 3 or 6 months. I would like to hear from the people that have used some kind of product that takes the thc out of your hair. Im not interested in using bleach, dying, or shaving my hair. I dont care about stupid comments on how i shouldnt have been smoking weed. I just need to hear from those who have passed a hair test.

I did a google search on "hair follicle drug test" and found lots of sites. One of them said - "A standard hair follicle screen covers a period of approximately 90 days". So four months after your last smoke you should be ok. Here's one site:
