can second hand smoke show up on blood test

Does second hand cigerette smoke show up on blood test?

I quit smoking for 3 months but work in a very smokey enviorment (a bar with little ventilation)

I need to go have a blood test for insurance. Will this hamper my chance in "passing" the test?

Second hand smoke cannot be tested for in a blood test.

As far as passing the test, it depends on what they will test for. Did they tell you what type of laboratory studies they will test the blood for?

As far as the comment below, he is right in that second hand marijuana can be detected (but not regular cigarettes) if indeed that is what you are asking.

second hand cigarette smoke?

if you take a nicotine drug test..will second hand smoke show up? I know fist hand smoke will. I want to know if my daughter is being exposed to smoke. I have asked everyone I can think of no one knows. Including the quit smoking help line.

If I take my daughter and get a blood test will it detect smoke?

most likely yes, but not to the same degree of concentration as you would have. if second hand smoke can cause health problems, then i would have an affect on bloods tests. both my parent smoked, and i pretty sure that had a lot to do with my yearly case of bronchitis. proceed with caution.

Smoked small amount of Marijuana blood test?

Saturday night I smoked marijuana, 3 cones worth that was like 25% tobacco. I might have a drug test maybe on Tuesday. Maybe a few days later. I know something will show up, but will it be negligible enough that i can say that it was second hand smoke or something. I'm a fit 18 year old. Any actual past experience would be appreciated.
And it really knocked me around.
Oh yeah and I had half a cone the Saturday before. Thats all for like ages

oh yes man ur ScReWeD!!!

Cuz no matter how much u smoke; a hit or a pound, it stays in ur system for AT LEAST a month.

wtf is a cone???

When I got busted with weed, i didnt think it could stay in my system as long as it did; i took my test about a month and a half after smoking a little under a bowl

and it showed up positive

so sorry to say, but u are ScReWeD...

just had a blood test, for drugs. i am not a regular jane smoker but i had a dui and may have been around..?

people that were smoking, but not sure because i dont remember. AHHH! i wasn't cited for anything about marijuana but in the police report he said that i smelled like what he believed to be marijuana.

How long does THC take to enter the blood stream if so?
Can second hand THC smoke show up positive on a blood test?
If so,
Can they detect THC levels and see that its a minimal amount or does it just say positive?

This cop was actually probably the nicest cop in the world and has been so so so so so so so helpful in everything, he even said he would have gave a break, but his superior came to the call as well.

Breathing "second hand" pot smoke can indeed result in trace amounts of THC showing up in your blood.

The good news, however, is that it is unlikely to register as "positive" in your test. The makers of drug test apparatus purposely set the threshold level high to avoid "false positive" results. Its probably OK to eat a couple of poppy-seed cupcakes as well.

Do doctors check for weed on blood tests?

I don't smoke, but I stupidly tried to last night and I just realized I have a blood test on tuesday. Will my doctor check for weed, or will it even show up?....I'm getting a blood test because I'm trying to get surgery and I need blood work done first. And if I do get caught can I say it was second hand smoke that caused it to be on the test?

not unless he does a drug screening. he is just making sure you have healthy blood, not too anemic because that may be bad in surgery
